Glasgow Garden  Festival 1988

This film was made in 1988 by two of our members Bill Gourlay and John Davis. Glasgow held the Garden Festival 50 years after the highly sucessful Empire Exhibition was held in 1938.  It was decided to hold a garden festival with contributions from various local councils and commercial firms. This DVD contains both the Garden Festival and the Empire Exhibition.

The festival was opened by Prince Charles accompanied with Diana Princess of Wales.
