Kirkcaldy Then and Now
The new DVD illustrates Kirkcaldy from late 1800s to 2021. Featuring
Buffalo Bill visiting in 1904, opening of the new tram system, the
Buttercup Dairy opened it's first shop in Kirkcaldy, the Ice Rink being built, 1966 Pageant, 50th Anniversary of twinning with Ingolstadt, first
Beach Highland Games in Scotland, motorbike racing on the sands.
Some well known landmarks have disappeared over the years, Frances and Seafield Collieries, Nairns factory, the original power station in Victoria Road and much much more film and pictures of "Kirkcaldy Then and Now".
The DVD is narrated by well known Langtonian Val McDermid and hopefully will stir a few memories of Kirkcaldy Then and Now.
